What does it mean to be a child of the universe? Symbiotic Matter is a performance-installation lead by Silke Hamers, made in collaboration with visual artist Ismaïl Matar, choreographer Leticia Ferreira, and composers/musicians Edoardo Parente, and Fedra Coppens. Placed into a pre-historic/futuristic space, the story unfolds of an undefined two-headed creature, discovering their independence, inside of an interconnected ecosystem. For an hour, you'll be invited into their world, and receive a shared responsibility for this living organism. With movement, live music, small and texture, chimaera is exploring what it means to be a child of the universe.
